M Sport side skirts are required

These are side skirt extensions — they bolt over and clip onto your existing M Sport side skirts, not the bare sill. If your 3 Series does not have the factory M Sport package, these extensions will not fit correctly. M340i owners are confirmed compatible as the M340i ships with M Sport side skirts as standard. If you are unsure whether your car has M Sport side skirts, look at the rocker panel between the front and rear wheels — M Sport models have a deeper, body-coloured lower panel rather than a flat black plastic sill protector.
