Carbon Fibre Layup & Vacuum Forming
Real 3K twill carbon fibre pre-preg is hand-laid into the mould. Vacuum bagging removes air and compacts every layer. The blank cures in a heat-controlled oven — the same process used in motorsport and aerospace. This is genuine structural carbon, not a decorative film or wrap.

Trimming, Sanding & UV Lacquering
Once cured, carbon sections are CNC-trimmed to exact tolerances and progressively sanded from 400 to 2000 grit. Three coats of UV-stabilised lacquer lock in the gloss finish and prevent yellowing — the most common failure point on cheap carbon parts.

Alcantara Cutting & Hand-Stitching
Genuine Alcantara panels are precision-cut from full-grade stock not microfibre imitations. Each panel is hand-applied and double-stitched with your chosen colour thread. Seams are finished flat so there's no ridge under your hand.

Disconnect Battery — Wait 15 Minutes
Disconnect the negative battery terminal and wait at least 15 minutes. This fully discharges the airbag system's capacitors and makes the airbag module safe to handle.
⚠️ Never skip this step: An active airbag system can deploy without warning.

Remove Airbag Module
Locate the access holes on the steering column back and use the appropriate Torx bit (commonly T30) to release the airbag retaining clips — refer to your car's service manual for the exact size. Disconnect the yellow airbag connector and horn ring carefully. Set the airbag aside flat and safe.
💡 Photograph all connectors before disconnecting.

Remove Factory Steering Wheel
Mark 12 o'clock on the column with a paint pen before removal. Remove the central retaining nut — size varies by manufacturer, typically 24–27mm. Use a steering wheel puller if the wheel is stuck on the splines — never force it.

Mount Hub Adapter
Slide the included model-specific hub adapter onto the column splines, aligned to your 12 o'clock mark. Torque the centre nut to your vehicle's factory spec (typically 30–50Nm — check your service manual). The hub carries all electrical connectors through to the new wheel.

Mount Wheel & Airbag — Reconnect & Test
Connect all wiring harnesses. Mount the wheel, seat the airbag module in the centre boss until it clicks, and reconnect all airbag connectors. Reconnect the battery. Verify: airbag light clears, horn works, cruise and audio controls function correctly.
💡 An OBD2 scanner may be needed to clear airbag codes after reconnection.
