The Carrera Custom Garage F1 Style Carbon Fiber Rear Diffuser is a direct replacement for the factory rear diffuser on the 2016–2021 BMW F87 M2 and M2 Competition, with a functional LED brake light built into the center fin. Made from real 2x2 twill carbon fiber with a UV-resistant gloss clear coat, it frames the M2's quad exhaust with deep motorsport fins and adds a Formula 1 style rain light that illuminates when you brake.

Why an F1 style diffuser with LED brake light?

The factory M2 diffuser is plain black plastic. This upgrade swaps it for real carbon fiber with taller, more aggressive fins, and the integrated LED gives the rear end the unmistakable look of a race car's rain light. It is the single biggest visual change you can make to the back of an F87, and it ties in with a carbon front lip and side skirts for a complete aero kit.

How the LED brake light works

The LED is housed in the center of the diffuser and is wired into the car's rear lighting so it lights up with your brake lights. Wiring is done behind the bumper by connecting to the taillight or brake light circuit. We recommend having this done by a professional installer or auto electrician for a clean, reliable connection.

Installation
