BMW F87 M2 MTC Style Carbon Fiber Front Lip Spoiler (2016–2018)

The Carrera Custom Garage MTC Style Carbon Fiber Front Lip is a bolt-on front splitter for the 2016–2018 BMW F87 M2 Coupe with the original (non-Competition) front bumper. Made from real 2x2 twill carbon fiber with a UV-resistant gloss clear coat, it extends the lower edge of the bumper with sharp, angular lines that make the M2 look lower, wider and more aggressive.

Why the MTC style lip?

The MTC style is one of the most popular front lip designs for the F87 M2. Its crisp, angular blades follow the shape of the factory bumper intakes, so it looks like a natural extension of the car rather than a bolt-on afterthought. It adds a motorsport stance without the deep drop of a full splitter, so the car stays daily-drivable.

Installation

The lip mounts to the underside of the factory front bumper using the included hardware. Depending on the car, a few small pilot holes may need to be drilled for the self-tapping screws. Professional installation by a body shop is recommended for a perfectly aligned, gap-free fit; experienced DIYers can complete it in about one to two hours with the car on ramps.

Does this fit the BMW M2 Competition?

No. The M2 Competition uses a different front bumper. This lip is for the 2016–2018 F87 M2 with the original bumper only.

Is it real carbon fiber?

Yes. It is real 2x2 twill carbon fiber, vacuum-infused for strength and low weight, and finished with a UV-resistant gloss clear coat that prevents fading and yellowing. It is not a carbon-look wrap or printed plastic.

Do I need to drill the bumper?

Possibly a few small pilot holes on the underside of the bumper, where they are not visible. No cutting of the visible bumper surface is required.

Will it scrape on speed bumps and driveways?

The MTC style sits only slightly below the factory bumper line, so on a stock-height M2 it clears normal roads. As with any front lip, take steep driveways and speed bumps at an angle, especially if the car is lowered.
