The Carrera Custom Garage Carbon Fiber Ducktail Trunk Spoiler is a lip spoiler for the trunk lid of the BMW F87 M2, M2 Competition and F22 2 Series coupe, including the M235i and M240i. Made from real carbon fiber with a UV-resistant gloss clear coat, its tall, kicked-up ducktail profile is one of the most aggressive looks you can get on an F87 or F22 short of a full GT wing, and it fits with automotive 3M tape, so there is no drilling.
Why a ducktail spoiler?
A ducktail sharpens the rear profile of the 2 Series coupe and gives the M2 the race-bred stance its wide arches deserve. It is a cleaner, more OEM+ alternative to a swan-neck wing, it keeps rear visibility, and it pairs with a carbon rear diffuser for a complete rear-end upgrade. The design is often referred to as a PSM style spoiler.

Installation
The spoiler bonds to the trunk lid with automotive-grade 3M double-sided tape. No drilling or cutting is required. Clean and degrease the trunk lid, dry-fit the spoiler to mark its position, then peel the tape and press it firmly into place. Fit it at room temperature (above 15°C / 60°F) and avoid washing the car for 48 hours so the adhesive can fully cure. Professional fitting is recommended for perfect alignment.

Do I need to drill the trunk?
