BMW F87 M2 & M2 Competition MTC Style Carbon Fiber Side Skirts (2016–2021)

The Carrera Custom Garage MTC Style Carbon Fiber Side Skirts are a pair of add-on side skirt extensions for the 2016–2021 BMW F87 M2 and M2 Competition. Made from real twill-weave carbon fiber with a UV-resistant gloss clear coat, they mount beneath the factory side sills to give the M2 a lower, wider, more planted stance.

Why MTC style side skirts?

The F87 M2's short wheelbase and wide arches make it look muscular, but the factory sills leave a visible gap between the front and rear wheels. MTC style extensions fill that line with a sharp carbon blade that visually drops the car and links the front lip and rear diffuser into one continuous aero package.

Installation

The extensions attach to the underside of the factory side skirts using the supplied fixings and automotive-grade double-sided tape. A few small pilot holes may be needed on the hidden underside of the sill. Professional installation is recommended for perfect alignment; an experienced DIYer can fit the pair in about one to two hours with the car raised.

Do these fit both the M2 and the M2 Competition?

Yes. The F87 M2 and M2 Competition share the same side sills, so these extensions fit 2016–2021 cars of both versions.

Will they fit an F22 M235i or M240i?

No. The 2 Series coupe has different side skirts from the M2. This part is specific to the F87 M2.

Is it real carbon fiber?

Yes. They are made from real twill-weave carbon fiber and finished with a UV-resistant gloss clear coat that prevents fading and yellowing. They are not a carbon-look wrap or printed plastic.

Is this a pair?

Yes. You receive a left and a right side skirt extension.

Are these genuine MTC Design parts?

No. These are MTC style side skirts: they follow the popular MTC design profile but are produced for Carrera Custom Garage, which keeps the price far below genuine dry-carbon MTC Design parts.

Will they scrape?

They add only a small amount of depth below the sills, so a stock-height M2 clears normal kerbs and driveways. On lowered cars, take steep ramps and high kerbs with care.
